The piping-guan, commonly known as the "Pawi" is the only endemic bird to Trinidad. It is about 60cm long and characterised by a flute-like whistle that will soothe some, and drive others crazy! Local photographer Ian Welch-Phillips captured this critically endangered bird on the North Coast of Trinidad.
